Between 1.00pm - 5.00pm in Chatsworth Park
Baslow Environment Group is exploring the promotion of alternative forms of sustainable travel including the use of e-bikes.
The group has teamed up with local e-Bike tour specialists PeakePedals to offer local residents of Baslow and the wider Peak District an opportunity to try an e-Bike, and Chatsworth House Trust has kindly agreed to host the trials in the beautiful and safe surroundings of Chatsworth Park. There will be a fleet of the award-winning full suspension Moustache X-Road Hybrid e-Bikes available to try. These bikes are perfect for our local area and are equally at home on country lanes, bridleways or roads making them a genuine option for getting around the Peak District.
This is the perfect opportunity to see how battery technology now means you do not need to be super fit to tackle the hills and advances in suspension / braking technology mean it is a really safe and comfortable way to get around.
We will have experts on hand to cycle with you and answer any questions you may have so whether you are interested in a greener way to get around or a new hobby we think you will be amazed by the opportunity for exercise and pleasure an e-Bike can offer you.
The start point for the ride will be located in Chatsworth Park approximately 200 yards from the Golden Gates (best access is arrive at Baslow Nether End, walk to and through the Cannon Kissing gate, turn left and you will see us by the main Chatsworth Drive). We have chosen a circular route which should take only 5-10 mins to complete, and you will have an expert guiding you around.
It will help us to plan the afternoon if you could register your wish to ‘have-a-go’ by clicking the button below but just come along if you’re not sure and wish to learn more about these fantastic bicycles.
Minimum legal age for riding an e-bike is 14 years.
There will be no charge for riding the e-bikes.
